Date Flashback: Coffee Meets Bagel Pink Party
As we mentioned, we went to the first exclusive NYC members event of online dating site, Coffee Meets Bagel. We absolutely love the concept of the site, in which you can’t browse profiles, but instead are matched with someone each day at noon (your “bagel” so to speak), and you have 24 hours to decide whether you like or pass on each other. If the like is mutual you both get a text alert as well as an email suggesting a place to have your date (with a special deal included).
Bianca was once a member of this site and met some pretty cool people, but has since put her profile on hold as we delve into the deep waters of exclusivity in this relationship. Nevertheless, she’s a huge fan and continues to support the site and its founders Arum and Dawoon Kang.
Not one to miss a party, though we were technically not-single guests to this singles mixer, we made things a little more interesting by going into it as complete strangers. We arrived separately, mingled through the party, hung out with different friends and made some new ones, then were eventually introduced by Aaron’s co-worker and Bianca’s friend Tylar (pictured above next to Bianca).
We didn’t manage to keep up the act for very long before we got drunk, made out, and tried to start a dance party. There were a group of people who were convinced we had just met and were quite impressed by our dance floor chemistry, whispering to each other about how perfect we were together (ridiculous moves and all).
To be honest, even if that was the first time we had met, the night probably would’ve resulted in the same outcome. We’re like… really good together.
